Shopping in Alexandria
Alexandria nowadays has a large selection of shopping malls and each offer a variety of restaurants, food courts, amusement arcade, and coffee shops. In down town Alexandria traditional markets can be found. In the Attareen neighborhood you will find many shops for antiques and the Attareen market placee in itself is a place worth visiting. It existed since the Mamlouk era and it has not changed much since then. Workshops that imitate original pieced of art and antiques are also available in the area. In Saad Zagloul street and Safia Zagloul shops for trendy clothes and shoes are available all over the place. The main shopping malls in Alexandria are:

Dining in Alexandria
Alexandria hotels serves western style cuisine for those not interested in experiencing local dishes. Many historic restaurants in Alexandria closed down giving way to new modern eateries causing the dining scene in Alexandria to change in the past years. Being located on the coast, Alexandria is famous for its seafood restaurants that serves freshly caught fish. The quality of restaurants vary from high scale such as Fish Market along the Cornish with a view upon the Eastern Harbor, or the Agami restaurants such as the Christina, Andrea and the Seagull on the Agamy road which is nested in the imitation of a forest and it is said that the location of the restaurant is where Napoleon first landed when he came to Egypt in the 18th century. but some of the restaurants in this district choose to open only in summer.
Egyptian cuisine is delicious and excellent, combining many of the best traditions of Middle Eastern cooking, and there are both large hotel restaurants and smaller specialist ones throughout the main cities. In Alexandria there are also a wide variety of restaurants catering to local and international styles. One of the most famous is called Elite, and it was the favorite of Alexandria. The Anfushi district is well known for its restaurants like Qudora. Some restaurants serve as well western style food like La Cazetta and San Giovanni over looking the new Stainly bridge. Food courts are also available in the shopping centers all over Alexandria.
