The Sharm el-Sheikh Hyperbaric Medical Center was founded in 1993 with a grant from USAID by Dr Adel Taher to assist with diving related illnesses and complete the area's reputation as a full-service dive destination. Visitors to Sharm el-Sheikh can experience a variety of water and activities. You will find top-notch dive shops, centers, and charters, along with every other possible amenity, most operated by Europeans and offering excellent instruction. Virtually every water sport known to man can be found. Other activities are available as well in Sharm El Sheikh such as horseback riding, four-wheeler spinning, golf, bowl, and bungee jump. Sharm provides endless activities for children to keep them busily occupied and happy. One can enjoy adventurous trip in the heart of the desert while on top of a camel or a horse in a long trekking safari which provides adventure and exploration. Fascinating trips by quad runners and jeeps are pleasant as well. Fun Town is an amusement park your children love or choose the Bowling Center which has got also an ice skating area.


Sub Dot Diving
Sharm is a diver's paradise, being situated near to the Red Sea, it provides some of the most stunning underwater scenery and warm water making this an ideal place to dive. That’s why it became a favorite spot for Scuba divers from around the world. Ras Mohammed is the National Park of South Sinai and located on the very tip of the Sinai Peninsula; it probably represents some of the most famous dive sites in the Red Sea with 800 meter deep reef walls and pounding current and coral gardens.


Sub Dot Nightlife
All resorts in Sharm El Sheikh offers their entertainment performances for the tourists such as belly dancer and folklore show. Tourists can enjoy dancing in the many discothèques available in Sharm the most prominent is the Hard Rock Café at Naama Bay. If you are longing for a nice romantic dinner you can pick from the many restaurants available which offer different cuisines like middle eastern food, Chinese food, Italian and typical Egyptian food. Hotels offer special events in the desert where one can enjoy a special Bedouin dinner under the stars. Plenty of places are available to hang out like the coffee shops where you can smoke water pipe and have a cup of tea, shopping arcades is a good place to shop a souvenir from Egypt. Cinemas are now available at Sharm El Sheikh playing the latest Hollywood movies as well as Arabic movies. In addition to this, many popular night outlets are located in hotels and resorts, and we can’t forget the number of casinos which populate the town’s night scene. Sharm el Sheik has also become in the years a place of choice for a number of events and international shows, with many most famous European DJ’s and cover bands playing regular gigs in the local clubs and other artists making appearances in one event or the other.


Sub Dot Transportation
Sharm El Sheikh is served by an international airport that runs scheduled flights to Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor and Alexandria. It is served as well with many charter flights from Europe. Sharm’s Marina has been developed to cater yachts and sailboats as well as cruise ships. There is a ferry service to Hurghada and Aqaba. For getting around in the city of Sharm El Sheikh, taxis are the most preferred means of transportation. Most of the taxis in the city are ancient blue and white Peugeots that comfortably fits six to seven passengers. Transportation by bus is also very convenient. You will find a bus station in the city which will take you to the nearby cities at very economical prices. Some of the hotels run courtesy buses as well, and there is also a local bus service running from the Bay to the Old Town.
