City Tour Alexandria:
Highlights excursions by bus to visit Alexandria’s main land marks El Montazah gardens King Farouk’s palace, Alexandria modern library, Abou El Abbas Mosque with its minarets and domes, Quitbay Fort, Catacomb of kom El shoqafa where you can see ancient tombs on three levels and the statues of Sobec and Anubis wearing roman armor, The Roman Theatre which is semicircle in shape with twelve marble terraces. The duration of this excursion is about three hours with 10 minutes stop at each sightseeing. lunch is not included in this excursion.
Over day Greek and Roman Alexandria:
Alexandria is one of the major Egyptian ports and summer resorts. Located on the northwest side of the Nile Delta and 230 Km from Cairo. The tour starts by visiting the Alexandria national museum which displays a rare collection of relics that dates to 3rd century B.C. then proceed to Kom El Dekka to visit the Roman Amphitheater which is semicircle in shape with twelve marble terraces. Then visit Catacomb of Kom El Shoqafa which is a three level tombs and the statue of Anubis and Sobec wearing roman armor as well as Bombay Pillar. On your way back to cruise you will see Alexandria’s most important land marks, the library of Alexandria, the Abou El Abbas Mosque with its domes and high minarets and the Quiat Bey fort from outside and the light house which is considered one of the remaining ancient seven wonders of the world.
Half Day Cairo: (The Pyramids)
For those who would like to see the pyramids which is the only remaining wonders of ancient world we provide you a half day excursion to visit the Pyramids have lunch at Cairo and have a one stop for shopping.
Over day Cairo 1: (Egyptian Museum, Pyramids)
Disembarkation from your cruise and taking a deluxe air conditioned bus for a three hours drive along the Egypt's western desert to the capital of Egypt Cairo. Firstly, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Tahrir Square which is Cairo’s city centre. The museum displays a priceless collection of fine Egyptian art and artifacts that covers a period of more than 5000 years and among them are the precious treasures of king Tut Ankh Amun.
Then drive to the Giza plateau to visit the three Pyramids of Cheops, Mykeronis and Chephern which are the only remaining wonders of ancient world. After viewing the pyramids from the western plateau then proceed down the valley to have a close look at the statue of Sphinx which is a funeral complex with the face of king chephern and the body of a lion.
After your visit to the Pyramids plateau a lunch buffet will be held at the hotel for you. After lunch visit of a papyrus institute to have a demonstration of how the pharaohs used to make papyrus paper from the reeds, you may also have time as well for those who want to pick a souvenir from Egypt.
Over day Cairo 2: (The Egyptian Museum, Memphis Sakkara and the three Giza Pyramids.)
After disembarkation take your Deluxe air conditioned bus in a three hours drive along the Egyptian desert to arrive at Cairo the capital of Egypt. On the way you will see many of Cairo’s most famous modern landmarks till you reach the necropolis Sakkara to see the step pyramids of Zoser, then proceed to the pyramids plateau to see the three pyramids of Cheops, Mykeronis and Chephern. And from the western plateau you will have a panoramic view of these great stone buildings. Then you will proceed down the valley to have a close look at statue of sphinx.
At midday international lunch buffet will be held at one of the most luxuries restaurants. After lunch a visit to the Egyptian museum of antiquities which displays a rare collection of fine Egyptian arts and artifacts that dates back to 5000 years besides the priceless treasures of king Tut Ankh Amun collection.
Later in the evening and if time permits you will visit a papyrus institute to have a demonstration of how the pharaohs used to make paper from the papyrus reeds. With an opportunity to pick up a souvenir from an emporium that displays Egyptian arts and crafts.
Drive back to your cruise ship for re-embarkation. Over day Cairo 3: (The Egyptian Museum, the three Giza Pyramids, Coptic Cairo, Khan El Khalili)
After disembarkation transfer by deluxe air-conditioned bus through the desert road to Cairo, where you will be accompanied by your Egyptologist tour guide to visit the famous Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s signature attractions to visit the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, middle pyramids of Chephren and the little one of Mykerinos and mysterious Sphinx, the Father of Terror for the ancient pharaohs, the tour includes visit to the valley temple facing the great sphinx. lunch en route in one of fine 5 star restaurants. Then you will be transferred to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities that was built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon which exhibited collections now exceed 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess. Then you will be move on to visit the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the hanging church or the suspended church this basilica church was named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon the church became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt Afterwards enjoy an afternoon of shopping at the Khan El Khalili famous Bazaar and old market in Cairo. Free time in Cairo with (optional tour) to attend the fabulous Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids then you will be transferred to Alexandria for re-embarkation.
Overnight Cairo: (Egyptian Museum, Pyramids, Memphis Sakkara, Khan El Khalili)Day One: After disembarkation from your cruise ship take air-conditioned bus through the Egyptian desert to reach Cairo the capital of Egypt. Through bustling through the streets you will see Cairo’s main modern sightseeing. Visit the Egyptian Museum of antiquities which displays a rare collection of ancient Egyptian arts and relics that date back to 5000 years and the priceless treasure collection of king Tut Ankh Amun.
Cross the river Nile to Giza to see the three Giza pyramids of Cheops, Mykeronis and Chephern and have a panoramic view from the western plateau. Going down the valley you will have a close look at the great statue of Sphinx.
If time permits visit a papyrus institute to have a demonstration of how the pharaohs used to make paper from the reeds you may also have time to pick a souvenir.
Check in at the hotel.
(Optional tour) Before sunset you may choose from choose from any of the following optional tours:
Day Two: Breakfast and baggage collection. Visit the Necropolis of Sakkara, the Step pyramid of Zoser which is amongst the oldest stone buildings ever built. The step pyramid is considered an evolution from the mastaba as a burial site to the pyramids in its known form. Followed by a visit to The Pyramids of Unas&Oser-Kaf the Mastaba. Tomb of Mereruka, Ti & Pta-Hotep (carved and painted tombs). Then Memphis the ancient capital of Egypt where Colossal Statue of Ramses II and the Great Alabaster sphinx.
Drive back to your cruise ship.
Over day Luxor:
After disembarkation Deluxe representative will meet you and take you with an air conditioned bus to Luxor. Start your day by crossing the Nile to visit the West Bank where the Necropolis of Thebes is located. Drive through the Valley of kings and queens and the Temple of El Deir El Bahari and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Cross the Nile again to the East bank to visit Karnak and Luxor temples.
Transfer back to Safage.
Overnight Luxor:Day 1: After disembarkation Deluxe will meet you and take you with an air conditioned bus to Luxor. Start your day by crossing the Nile to visit the West Bank where the Necropolis of Thebes is located. Drive through the Valley of kings and queens and the Temple of El Deir El Bahari and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Cross the Nile again to the East bank to visit Karnak and Luxor temples.
