1. Bookings and warranties
All correspondence about tour and travel service bookings should be addressed to Deluxe Travel Egypt.
By using this website you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement. You are financially responsible for all use of this website, including the use of your name and credit card by members of your household, minors included. You also confirm that all information supplied by you or members of your household is true and accurate.
2. Personal data
When you give us personal information to register, reserve or purchase services, you agree that Deluxe Travel Egypt may share the necessary part of it with service providers (such as hotels, cruise operators and airlines) only to complete the booking you requested. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
3. Electronic communication
When you visit this website or contact us through our reservation and enquiry forms, you communicate with us electronically and agree to receive our communications electronically. All notices, agreements and other communications we send you electronically satisfy any legal requirement for written communication.
We may change or discontinue any part of this website at any time. We make every effort to keep the information on the website up to date, but we are not liable for damages resulting from errors or omissions in that information.
4. Payment
- An advance payment is required to hold your booking on a confirmed basis, at the latest 3 days after confirmation. Your travel consultant will tell you the amount, depending on the services and the time left before they start.
- The balance can be paid before you leave your country or on arrival in Egypt – but always before the services begin.
- Some services require full payment in advance, for example special train journeys and hotel or resort bookings in peak season (Christmas and New Year).
- Our quotations are based on the services you request. Any change or addition will change the price.
5. Payment methods
- Advance payment from abroad: bank wire transfer or PayPal.
- Balance: cash or Mastercard / Visa credit card.
- For credit card payments and wire transfers, any bank charges are added to the total amount.
- Credit card payments take 48–72 hours to clear, and international wire transfers usually 3–4 business days.
6. Joining a tour
- Day trips (single or a series), tailor-made tours, package tours and group tours must be confirmed and paid at least 72 hours before departure. Late payment may mean we cannot reserve guides or vehicles.
- A booking stays provisional until it is paid in full. Paid bookings take priority over unpaid provisional bookings. We may confirm a booking on part payment only when we have agreed this with you in writing (by email) for that specific tour.
- Hotels, cruises and other suppliers booked as part of your trip have their own terms and conditions. If they differ materially from ours, this will be stated on your invoice, and we will send you a copy on written request.
- Day trips run until all listed visits are covered, up to a maximum of 8 hours for full-day trips and 4 hours for half-day tours. Extra time is charged separately.
7. Cancellation and changes
Day tours and activities follow the cancellation terms shown on each tour page (for example, free cancellation up to 48, 72 or 96 hours before the tour). For packages, Nile cruises and multi-day trips, and for any service without its own cancellation terms, the scale below applies.
Cancellations for any reason must be sent to us in writing. Charges apply from the date we receive your written cancellation:
| When you cancel | Cancellation charge |
|---|
| 45 days or more before arrival | 10% of the tour / service cost |
| 44 to 20 days before arrival | 20% |
| 19 to 7 days before arrival | 30% |
| 6 days to 48 hours before arrival | 50% |
| Less than 48 hours before arrival, or no-show | No refund |
- Whatever the timing above, a minimum 10% service charge applies to any cancellation made after the booking is confirmed.
- Peak season (20 December – 15 January) and Easter have a separate cancellation policy, which we will advise at the time of booking.
- If you cancel after the trip has started, any refund is limited to what we can recover from the hotels and suppliers. We cannot refund unused hotel nights, chartered transport, missed meals or similar services.
- Changing dates: an amendment fee of 10% of the package price applies to changes made 30 to 7 days before your arrival date.
8. Refunds
Refunds for unused services that were paid for and cancelled in advance are calculated according to the cancellation policy above, and paid to the person who made the payment. Because of banking procedures, refunds can take 2–4 weeks. Bank charges for refunds to a credit card or bank account are deducted from the refund amount.
9. Prices and entrance fees
- Our rates are based on the prices we negotiate with hotels, airlines and other suppliers. If they change their rates, we may adjust quoted prices accordingly.
- If the Egyptian government raises entrance fees, taxes, fuel costs or guide charges after your price is agreed, the difference will be charged as an extra.
- Prices include the main entrance fee of each listed attraction. Additional tickets at some sites are not included – for example entering inside the pyramids, Tutankhamun’s tomb or the tomb of Nefertari.
- Hotel check-in and check-out follow each hotel’s usual times unless your itinerary says otherwise.
10. Tour guides
Our tour guides guide you in your chosen language and provide information and interpretation of Egypt’s cultural, historical and contemporary heritage at museums, monuments, religious sites and other places of interest. They are not personal assistants, and their service ends once all the visits assigned for the tour are completed.
11. Travel documents
Each traveller is solely responsible for carrying a valid passport and any visas required for the itinerary. No refund is given if a traveller does not have the required documents, and any resulting expenses are the traveller’s responsibility – the cancellation policy then applies. The same applies if a country’s authorities refuse a traveller entry.
12. Our liability
- Deluxe Travel Egypt acts only as an agent for the hotels, airlines, transport companies, railways and other contractors providing services. All vouchers, receipts, contracts and tickets are issued subject to those providers’ own terms and conditions.
- All itineraries are sample itineraries. Weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants and other factors may require changes before or during a tour. We may change any schedule in the interest of travellers’ safety, comfort and well-being.
- Hotel photos are correct at the time of posting and are for guidance only.
- We are not responsible for delays, changes or extra expenses caused directly or indirectly by natural hazards, flight cancellations, accidents, breakdowns, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or other incidents beyond our control.
- We are not responsible for loss, injury or damage to people or property in connection with accommodation, transport or other services resulting from acts of God, fire, accidents, mechanical breakdowns, war, civil unrest, strikes, riots, theft, epidemics, medical or customs regulations, defaults or any other cause beyond our control.
- We do not hold insurance covering accident, sickness, theft or other losses for our clients. Please arrange travel insurance in your home country. Baggage and personal belongings remain at the client’s risk at all times.
13. Acceptance of these terms
By booking with us you confirm that you understand and accept these terms and conditions. Your acceptance is also confirmed by either of the following:
- payment for the booked services by any means, or
- receipt of the invoice or receipt for those services.
