This 3-day Bahariya and White Desert tour starts with the drive to Bahariya Oasis, where you explore palm groves, springs and the town of Bawiti and spend the night in a hotel. Next day a 4×4 takes you through the Black Desert and past Crystal Mountain to the White Desert, a protected area since 2002, famous for its wind-carved chalk “mushroom” rocks. Dinner is a barbecue under the stars before a night camping in the desert.

Warm clothes for the night, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a torch and comfortable shoes.
Pickup at 7:30 am and drive by shared minibus to Bahariya Oasis, about 375 km from Cairo. Lunch in Bawiti, then explore the oasis. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Bawiti.
After breakfast, start the 4×4 safari: the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain and the White Desert’s mushroom-shaped rocks. Set up camp for a barbecue dinner and sleep under the stars or in a tent.
After breakfast, return to Bahariya to freshen up, then drive back to your hotel in Cairo.
