Starting at Al-Azhar Park with a short documentary, this guided route takes you by electric car and on foot past the Ayyubid city wall, Mamluk mosques and madrasas, Ottoman fountains and the tentmakers’ covered market, where craftsmen still sew by hand – ending at the twin minarets of Bab Zuweila.
